Stylists must be US citizens or permanent residents with a valid Social Security number and be 18 years or older. In addition, you must accept and sign the Stylist agreement and purchase the Sojourn Starter Kit.

Are there minimum requirements to remain active as a Sojourn Stylist?
Yes. Stylist must generate $400 in sales each quarter to remain active and be eligible of special bonuses and commission. This is an easily achievable goal.
How do I handle income and sales tax?
Sojourn issues a 1099 form to each Stylist at the beginning of the new calendar year. A 1099 is issued for each non-employee that has earned commission of $600 or more. Stylists use the 1099 form to claim earnings on your tax filings.
For sales tax, Sojourn submits collected tax to the appropriate government agencies on your behalf so there is no need for you to obtain a resellers permit.
